Dive STARS Charity
With years of diving experience ranging from open water instruction, specialty instruction, Public Safety Diving instruction, CPR, First Aid, AED instruction, etc., scuba diving became a passion far beyond a recreational hobby. We wanted others to be able to enjoy the same treasures, and excitement that one gets from scuba diving. Spread the passion you can say.
Like in every adventure, there is always an obstacle that needs to be overcome. In our case, her name was Tiffany. The nicest kindest person you would ever meet that wanted to become a certified scuba diver like her dad. Unfortunately for her, learning new skills was a challenge since she was medically diagnosed with a chronic disease. After accepting the challenge, diving head first without hesitation, she has earned her open water diver certification, and is working on her advanced open water diver certification. She has been around the world exploring the oceans in locations most can only imagine.
Since then we decided to take scuba up a notch. The feeling that Tiffany felt after being able to complete her training was breath taking. Not just for her, but for everyone involved. Everyone has obstacles that prevent them from completing something they want to achieve. For scuba diving, a disability should not be an obstacle.
Our Volunteer board members are individually selected and voted into their seat. From lawyer and doctor, to business owners to scuba professionals, our members are here for one reason, for someone other than themselves.
Mission:
Based on companionship, compassion, free will to dive, and the Code of Conduct, Sea Turtle Adaptive Recreational Scuba will support, train, equip, and provide dive travel to individuals with disabilities through Adaptive Scuba Diving free of charge.
Vision:
Sea Turtle Adaptive Recreational Scuba will create a community of Adaptive Divers that will dive and travel in the mainstream world of Scuba Diving through education and overcoming obstacles.
